In the ranking of 500 Best Companies in Brazil, presented by Money Magazine, Romi is found as a distinction of Innovation and Quality

Romi is also among the first best companies in Steel Making and Metallurgy Sectors in the categories of Human Resources and Corporate Governance
Romi is a distinction inside Steel Making and Metallurgy Sector of “The 500 Best Companies in Brazil”, published by Money Magazine, 2008 edition.
Romi appears at the second place in the ranking of Innovation and Quality, with 89 points, only one point behind the leader Alcoa. Romi appears also at third place in the ranking of the best companies of category Human Resources and at the fifth place among the companies with the best Corporate Governance.
The ranking of the magazine is originated from the answers of the questionnaires sent to the companies in the whole country. Splited in 27 economical sectors, the companies are classified into five management criteria: financial sustainability, human resources, capacity for innovating, social and environmental responsibility and corporate governance. Data are compiled, crossed and analyzed by Trevisan consultancy company.
Integrating the New Market of Sao Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa), Romi is the biggest Brazilian industry of machines tools (lathes and machining centers) and machines for plastics processing (injection molding and blowing machines). Last July, it acquired assets of the Italian manufacturer of injection molding machines, Sandretto, entering for the select list of Brazilian companies with industrial operation out of the country.
