At Embala Nordeste, new Romi’s machines for the packaging industry

Plastic injection machines with new control board, and thermoplastic blowing machines are the highlights of the company at Embala Nordeste

Romi, leader in the Brazilian market of plastic processing machines and machine-tools shows at Embala Nordeste blowing machines and plastic injection machines with the recently released innovations introduced in their control boards. Embala Nordeste was held on August 18-21 in the Convention Center of Pernambuco, in Olinda.

“The packaging industry is very important to Romi, and we are always engaged in expanding our equipment choices and providing breakthrough technology to the industry”, says the thermoplastic processing machine unit director, Fabio Seabra.

In its 100 m2 booth, Romi shows the plastic injection machine Prática 130 with the command Controlmaster 8 Plus released in May. It features a graphic, color, high visualization display and touch screen, what means that the programming is made directly on the screen. The injection machine allows remote access, as will be shown during the trade show. The machine allows viewing the machine operation and monitoring the production from any remote microcomputer. Prática 130 is a general use machine intended to be used for several types of work and has a good application in the package injection field.

“Besides the Prática series, Romi manufacture the Velox series for the package industry. These are ultra-fast production cycle machines suitable for the manufacture of packages and thin wall parts”, says Seabra. Both lines of equipment are ideal for the production of food packages, because they have self-lubricating bushes which prevent the injected parts from being contaminated with oil.

The company will further show its fully electric thermoplastic blowing machine Romi JAC Compacta 3 TS Electric Evolution. The equipment has a low consumption of power and water, as compared to a conventional machine, besides a quieter working. Because of its electric driving system, the blowing machine also has a higher precision than the hydraulic machines. In view of its characteristics, it’s ideal for high scale and precision work, besides providing full cleaning of the environment.
