Romi’s equipment is accurate and provides high output when machining parts for the aeronautic industry

Romi, leader in the Brazilian market of machine-tools and plastic injection molding machines shows at the 11th. Fair of Industrial Technology (Feira de Tecnologia Industrial - Feissecre) its most modern equipment development for the production lines of the aeronautic industry.

Among the products the company showed in the exhibition of July 22-25 in the pavilion of the Technological Park of São José dos Campos (SP) are the recently released Vertical Machining Center Romi D 800, the lathe Centur 30D and the plastic injection machine Prática 80 Control Master 8 Plus. These machines set up at Romi’s booth will show all their production capacity and accuracy in machining or injecting parts used in the aeronautic industry.

“The new vertical machining center Romi D 800 was designed for operating in high production environments, such as for machining aircraft components, automotive parts, among others, thus obtaining high geometric precision parts with a high output”, says Romi’s machine-tool marketing director, Hermes Lago, emphasizing that this machine has a 12,000 rpm version, very appropriate for machining aeronautic parts, predominantly made of aluminum.

Lago explains that Centur 30D is a versatile lathe for machining different types of parts with quick movements and machining accuracy. It may be equipped with an optional, the recently released Multiplic kit. With this kit it’s possible to use the lathe in both automatic mode – more usual – and “teach in” mode, where the operator works in a way similar to a manual lathe, with the advantage of relying upon the help of the CNC to perform tasks of a higher complexity, such as those usually performed by the aeronautic industry suppliers.
The plastic injection machines series Prática is Romi’s best-seller. The differentials of the machine include its design, an extremely compact machine (20% smaller than similar models), and the project which, besides securing high precision and speed, enables the molding area to be free from contamination caused by lubricants.
